Text description provided by the architects. The project includes the renovation and redesign of the Business Club in the Allianz Arena for FC Bayern München. The stadium was designed by Herzog & de Meuron and completed for the World Soccer Cup in Germany. After 8 years the interior needed to redesign and adapt to the new hospitality concept.
The Business Club, the heart of the stadium with a total floor area of 3.500 m² hosts 2.200 guests every game of FC Bayern München. The original serving counters were replaced by smaller units, which remind one of little market stalls. By placing these elements all over the area, the space gets an open and pleasant atmosphere. Highlighted by a specific light concept, these islands invite the guest to get an intensive experience of food preparation and decoration.
All counters were cladded by waved wood panels, which take over the idea of moments of movement and emotions. Conceptualities you get in correspondence with soccer and fans. The waves in different sizes and curves cut each other horizontally and create a unique 3d image. The smooth light brown colour provides a modest background for the presentation of food and beverages.
The furniture of Rolf Benz completes the concept of the new Business Club that reaches a new standard in hospitality design for sport stadiums worldwide.
